How I learned to read....POWER RECORDS!!!
No Shit, pals! Listened to the record, (TEN GAZILLION TIMES!) looked at the words on the pages, matched what I was hearing to what I was seeing...and that was pretty much THAT! I was slowly able to grasp more about reading comprehension with these crazy record/comics than I ever learned in the crappy Louisiana "educational system" of the 60s and 70s! The schools were FUBAR back then; as there are NOW!

I never had any of the first wave with the book and the 45, but I had several of the next wave without the book. I also had the LP's that collected several as well as the Batman LP with the book and Neal Adams art. But you know my favorite comic record is the Spider-Man "Rockcomic" with the Romita art all over it.
